Ryan Kodura

Hi!

Welcome to my site.  Come here to learn a bit about me?  I am a structural designer, a rocketry enthusiast, and all-around passionate individual.  I graduated the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering (concentration in Structural) in spring of 2024.

I am an EIT Structural Designer for Denham Blythe Design and Build.  I have several years of experience working as a designer at the central office in Lexington Kentucky.  I have had the great opportunity to work across disciplines, including on site design, architectural design, and structural design.  I've completed work for several clients including Buffalo Trace, Veolia Inc, Martin's Peterbilt, and Volkswagen.

My aerospace experience comes from 4 years as a member of SpaceLex, a hobbyist rocketry team at the University of Kentucky.  I spent the four years there growing a love for rocketry, meeting some of the coolest people on earth, and designing several airframes.  I eventually became president and helped lead the team to win the FAR51025 Unlimited Competition in 2024.  Today I am working on a research paper to analyze the viability of additive manufacturing for small aero frames using consumer grade machinery.

I always like to be improving and try to gain as much experience as I can.  I have hands on experience with various software including AutoCAD, Inventor, Civil3D, Revit, Blender, and more.  I'm also currently working on improving my C++ skills to develop better software for internal use at DB.  I also enjoy modeling for artistic sake, though that is definitely still a work in progress.

I hope you enjoy your visit.  If you wish to contact me about anything on this website, feel free to check out the contact page.  I shall leave you with a quote that has resonated with me for the longest time.

Sincerely,
